Merry Christmas from Louisville Switching

Merry Christmas from Louisville SwitchingCan you believe this year is almost over? Every December we pause to reflect on the passing year—areas where we succeeded and areas where we can improve.

We also like to take this opportunity to let our employees and our customers know how much we appreciate them. The people we work with really are the life of the business, and we have the best. We are grateful for the loyalty of both our employees and our customers, and we look forward to continuing to build those relationships as we enter the New Year.

Hopefully the excitement of the holiday season will linger awhile as we enjoy time with family and friends over the next couple of weeks. 2012 holds the promise of a happy and successful business year ahead.

Louisville Switching wishes you a joyous Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

RBA Golf scramble update

Louisville Switching RBA golf scramble The RBA Golf Scramble was a huge success this past weekend. There were a record 30 teams, up from 18 last year!

This was the 7th annual event, with the proceeds going to help pay for lights and security in the Riverport area. Chris Troutt, Sales Manager at Louisville Switching, is the head of the security for RBA and I am the President, so this annual event is always something we look forward to and like sharing with our readers.

This year it was hosted at Iroquois Golf Course. The food is always something to talk about as well. Breakfast (sausage, biscuits and gravy) was provided by Councilman Rick Blackwell and lunch was catered by Texas Roadhouse.

The winning team from the Fraternal Order of Police shot -19. Second place went to a team sponsored by The Content Squad, Paul Davis Restoration Louisville, and Absolute Networking Systems.

Although the rain didn’t hold off, we were at least spared of the real heavy stuff. As always, a good time was had by all.

If you’re not a member of the RBA, then consider joining. It’s a great organization in Southwest Jefferson County.

The Light-up Riverport Golf Scramble is coming up

Light up Riverport golf scrambleThe annual Riverport Business Association Golf Scramble is just weeks away. This event is in its 7th year and raises money for Riverport lighting.

Here are the event details:
When: Saturday, September 24, 2011
Where: Iroquois Golf Course
Time: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Last year, 18 teams competed in the 2010 Light-up Riverport Golf Scramble and it was the largest field of competitors in the history of the tournament.

This year, we have 28 teams already committed to play, which means we only have room for two more teams! The maximum number of teams that can play is 30 due to the number of carts needed.

Also new this year, the Riverport Business Association (RBA) will put up a brand new Harley Davidson “Fat Boy Lo” Motorcycle as the winning prize for a Hole-in-One at hole #18.

Individual golfers are $80.00 each.

Hole sponsorships are $200.00 and include: one free player, company name on sign at tee box, company name in program.

For more information about the event, to become a sponsor, or to register online, visit the website.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Unveiling the Invincible Ottawa- not really but it sounds fun

Invincible OttawaWe told you a few months back about the Invincible Ottawa (It’s able to leap tall buildings in a single bound ). After purchasing the Invincible Ottawa you’ll never need another spotter truck for your business. The helicopter blades on the Invincible Ottawa work great for those tough to reach jobs like mountain tops. The Invincible Ottawa also comes with hover craft functionality. Have a job halfway down the Mississippi? No problem. The dozer tracks and ice chains make any surface negotiable. Thinking about expanding business into the Artic or the Sahara, think no more. No climate is too tough as our Invincible Ottawa comes with a complete HVAC system on the back. Heat Pump and Geo Thermal controls make it easy to take your Ottawa from one end of the globe to the other.

So what are you waiting for? Purchase your Invincible Ottawa today! If you call today we’ll also throw in a free set of kitchen knives. If you order online you can even take advantage of our free shipping offer. Yes free shipping. Even though it would cost more than the price of the vehicle to ship it for free.

Well, obviously you know this is all for fun and a whole bunch of hype. At Louisville Switching Service and Louisville Switching Truck Sales we don’t like a lot of hype. Even though our Ottawa trucks have a great reputation for their durability, our trucks do break down from time to time. The elements can effect them as well, although we are always searching for ways to make them better.

Instead of hype and promises no one can keep we like to make promises we can keep.

If you’re not into hype but are into great service, great products and long lasting relationships; then contact us today.

(P.S. Thanks to Josh Starr over at Solid Giant Web Design for creating the graphic for the Invincible Ottawa)

The Invincible Ottawa

All work and no play made Jack a dull boy- right? We take our customer service very serious at Louisville Switching. Our top of the line trucks, parts and responsive service are the lifeblood of what we do. Along the way though you have to have a little fun though. We believe you can have fun and provide great service/great price while doing so.

When we started the website a few months back I casually asked Bryce Raley or Simplified Solutions LLC about putting together a little image for fun. I asked about the costs and we determined it wasn’t worth spending any money on it. Well we managed to squeeze it into the web budget and we’ll share it soon.

Be on the lookout for “The Invincible Ottawa”
