Kentucky Motor Transport Association
The Kentucky Motor Transport Association is an organization that represents Kentucky businesses in front of the government, customers, and industry groups. In addition, they supply “value added programming” to encourage and promote business safety and productivity.
Kentucky Association of Manufacturers
The Associated Industries of Kentucky, founded in 1911, is a group of member companies with the commitment to responsible and ethical business practices and where local companies can compete nationally and internationally. The companies do this through professionalism and high ethical standards to various services the member’s provide.
Riverport Business Association
Don Robinson is active President of the Riverport Business Association. The Riverport Business Association is a collaboration among business located in the Riverport Industrial Park to encourage growth in the Riverport area and keep the park in top shape for the development and growing of industry.
Riverport Safety and Security Committee
Louisville Switching’s Sales Manager, Chris Troutt, is current Committee Chairman ensuring that Riverport Industrial Park stays safe and pleasant and Louisville Switching Service, Inc. is a charter member in the campaign to maintain Riverport’s outstanding reputation for safety and security.
Community Outreach
The Crusade for Children is undoubtedly one of the most important and one of the largest non-profit charities in the Louisville metropolitan area. It seeks to raise money for special needs children of all 120 Kentucky counties and more than 50 southern Indiana counties. Over the past 50 years, the Crusade has raised more than $100 million, with all donations going directly to agencies all over the area.
Louisville Switching Service provided the necessary cartage work free of charge for many years to aid the former Holy Rosary Academy with their annual RAMBLE FOR THE ROSES. This heart healthy walk’s proceeds go to raising scholarship money for local area private schools.
Brightside is a local non-profit organization to aid in raising the environmental awareness of the community and aiding in maintaining the community’s beauty and resources. The Green Mile program is where individuals and organizations are able to “adopt” a road and routinely check to make sure it is clean and free of litter. Louisville Switching Service, Inc. has adopted Intermodal Drive, frequently making sure that this road in the Riverport Industrial Park stays litter free.
Southeast Christian Church is a large local church that puts on a spectacular Easter pageant annually as part of its community outreach. Louisville Switching provides the pageant with free cartage services during this time.
Don Robinson and Louisville Switching Truck Sales have been active for years in raising support for Sport 4 Life and actively participating in oversees golf camps for the Swedish version of our local FCA. Don has been a close friend and supporter of Paul Kobylarz (founder) and the Sport 4 Life ministry.
